How to make a Loopy Flower Hair Bow Tutorial

My husband often asks me why I put tutorials on here since I sell a lot of the things that I make. My response is like the response of most honest crafters, I believe that everyone should know how to make the things that they love to wear. Well, that and because I also sell a lot of crafting supplies as well as the actual product since I know that some people just don’t have the time or patience to make the items themselves.

So, here is the tutorial that you have all bee waiting for. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Materials:
3/8 ribbon (however many colors that you like, I used two colors in this pattern) needle and thread( I used transparent thread because this is what I had on hand, ruler for measuring, glue(I love my hot glue gun).

Step 1, Preparing the ribbon:

Cut the first color into 4 inch pieces and set them aside. Then grab your next ribbon and cut it into 3 inch pieces. Your last color should be cut into 2 inch pieces. You can cut as many of each size as you like as long as there are an equal number of pieces in each set. I used seven pieces of each size to make this one.

Step 2, threading the ribbon:

Now you are going to take the largest size and place one of these pieces on the needle. Place each size ribbon onto the needle now so that one side is on the needle and the other side dangles. Follow the next three photos so you can see what it will look like. Side Note: Make sure that you tie a good knot on the end of the thread so that the ribbon doesn’t slip off.

Step 3, looping the ribbon:

Now you are going to start with the smallest piece and work your way to the largest piece on the needle and loop the dangling ends by sticking the needle through them. Follow the next set of photos for a demonstration.

Step 4, sealing the ends:

I seal the ends once I have a set on the needle because it is much quicker than having to burn them one at a time, this way you get both ends at the same time. Much, much faster. Continue the steps above until you have all of your ribbon on the thread.

Step 5, tying the knot:

I don’t know if you can see the thread since it is transparent but once you place all of your ribbon on the needle and pull it to the knot on your thread, you are going to want to grab the thread on the needle and the thread with the knot and tie these two together. Tie them a few times to make sure that they don’t come undone but don’t tie them to tight or you won’t be able to fix the loops into a pretty flower.

Final Step:

Actually, there is no final step other than gluing something pretty into the center of the flower so that it doesn’t look plane. Also, you can either glue a clip on the other side or attach it to a headband.

Here is one I did for Christmas and I added a small bow in the center of it but I have also added buttons and different things to the center of them.

Make Money Online Using Fiverr to Sell Gigs

I have been suing Fiverr for about a week now. I have actually had an account with them for about a month but I only used it to help out with a website that I was building. Then it got me to thinking; why not use Fiverr to make money online? Fiverr is a community of people who offer jobs or gigs for $5, and these gig range from funny things like making up a silly song to sing to you, to getting more pageviews, likes, followers, to writing content for people. Well, I am a writer and therefore I like to get paid to write. I set up a few gigs and waited patiently. I started getting hits off of these gigs and people started buying my fiverr gigs. I was making money online within a week. Now, I have used them in the past and so I know that they do payout. They use Paypal to pay the individuals and people from around the world use them. You can either have the funds added to your paypal account or you can use the money you earned to purchase gigs yourself. On the gigs that you...

Long Tail Keywords, Niche Sites, and So Much More

There is nothing new about niche sites but, there are still a lot of people who don’t know how to create one, why keyword long tail phrases are important, how to search for keywords, and choosing the right keywords. I walk you through as much as I can in a short…umm, maybe long, post. I will go more into this in the near future but for now, enjoy this post on niche sites and keywords. .   What is a Niche Site   A niche site is a website or blog that focuses on one particular thing. Let’s say, for instance, you wanted to do a website on crafting. A niche site for crafting would mean that you would need to take it and narrow it down as much as possible. Instead of being on a wide range, which crafting can be, you might want to focus on a certain type of craft. A niche site for crafting might be woven headbands, building tables made from oak, or using a particular tool to create crafts.   The Right keywords   When you create a niche site, you must use the Right ke...
