I love reading books that will help me make money online. I hate finding books that I believe will help, but then they disappoint me in a huge way. I recently came across a book called Fiverr Domination: Proven Secrets to Earning Thousands of Dollars in Your Spare Time. Well. I should have known from the title that it was going to be nothing but a bunch of fluff covered in things that you could have found out on the web or by reading Fiverr's TOS.
The book starts off by going through everything about the Fiverr website. This is fine except, as a writer, I know how important it is to get to the main point before you lose your readers. There was no need for the writer to tell about Fiverr; everyone that is reading this book already knows what Fiverr is or they wouldn't have purchased it to begin with. Then the book continues on to tell you how to sign up; again, every reader already knows this information so why put it in the book? The writer also had a few grammar errors which I overlooked since I know these happen sometimes.
One thing that really got on my nerves, as a Fiverr user and seller, was this little tidbit that was added:
First of all, this is not accurate from my experience. It is actually better to get as many gigs up as you can; if you feel the need to edit, tweak, or delete these gigs, go ahead. Only having a few gigs, leaves you looking like you don't know what you are doing and it doesn't allow you to show up very often in the search system. Creating as many of your gigs, allows you to get more people looking at your profile page and in return, you can get more fiverr gigs sold. This person claimed to be a top seller but, if he is then he shouldn't have given this false information out to his readers. Shame on you guy!
This was another quote from the book. So, aside from the bad grammar, who decides when you are doing well enough to offer more services? This was just not the type of thing that should be put in a book on how to start making more money off of Fiverr.
So far, I haven't learned a thing from this book and yet, I have continued to read it anyways. I completed the book in the matter of 30 minutes; I am a fast reader and learned to skim past all the BS that writers tend to put in their books. All in all, this book wasn't worth the asking price and all the information was nothing but fluff. It wasn't worth the read.
I don't like giving bad reviews but, sometimes there are exceptions and I have to keep people informed. Trust me when I say that you cannot earn thousands of dollars in your spare time by reading Fiverr Domination; it was nothing more than a waste of my money and my time.

It is not wise to create 20 gigs when you are a newbie. Rather you should think about creating a few gigs, which are original and appealing. You need to keep in mind that it is better to have 4 or 5 exclusive gigs rather than having 20 ordinary gigs.

Activate and offers more gigs when you are doing good progress on Fiverr. Do so when you think is the right time to offer some more services. Let you customers know accordingly what is new in your bag.
