Working for a self-published author, I realized that the hardest part with being self-published, was getting your name out there. The book industry has taken a nose dive since information can now be found on the web for free.
There are all these claims out there on authors striking it big by self-publishing on Amazon. It took me a while to realize what they were doing, but I get paid to do research like this and to advertise for people. I notice that the top authors on Amazon were paying for reviews, they would even give free books so that it wold be a verified review.
I don’t like paying for reviews, especially when I am given a budget to work on. If I nose dive beyond that budget, my boss isn’t happy at all. Well, R.D. Hayes and I sat up one night and bounced ideas off of our heads. We came up with a solution. What would happen if we moved all of our books to Kindle Unlimited and started reviewing other authors who are also on Kindle Unlimited?
So, here is what we came up with. We want to write reviews on other kindle unlimited books. In order for this to work, the author has to have a kindle unlimited account, this way it is free for both individuals to read the book.
Once the book is read, and I do mean for each person to at least skim through it, they wait at least two days, and then write the review for each other. Making sure that the reviews aren’t written on the same day, and also making sure that they flip through the pages slowly so the Amazon Monsters don’t kick it back as a fake review. With would allow for both individual to get a review on Amazon and it would also show that someone else bought your book.
