Long Tail Keywords, Niche Sites, and So Much More

There is nothing new about niche sites but, there are still a lot of people who don’t know how to create one, why keyword long tail phrases are important, how to search for keywords, and choosing the right keywords. I walk you through as much as I can in a short…umm, maybe long, post. I will go more into this in the near future but for now, enjoy this post on niche sites and keywords.

.

What is a Niche Site

A niche site is a website or blog that focuses on one particular thing. Let’s say, for instance, you wanted to do a website on crafting. A niche site for crafting would mean that you would need to take it and narrow it down as much as possible. Instead of being on a wide range, which crafting can be, you might want to focus on a certain type of craft. A niche site for crafting might be woven headbands, building tables made from oak, or using a particular tool to create crafts.

The Right keywords

When you create a niche site, you must use the Right keywords. There can be hundreds of articles of great quality, but no one is going to find them if you are not using right keywords. Most would argue that using the top keywords will actually help you get more traffic but this is not accurate. Using top keywords will get you the most money if you are using it to place ads but not to get traffic to your website. If you have a webpage or Blog that’s niche is on that top keyword, sure, you might make money from your site, and lots of it, if you can get traffic to your site.

Keyword phrases should do two things:

  1. Have a lot of search engine traffic; this is people typing in that specific keyword phrase into the search engines and searching.

  1. When you enter a certain keyword into the search engine, how many webpages does it pull up? This is something to think about. If a keyword phrase does not pull up very many webpages, that search result is a good place to start. There will be hundreds of people doing that same search and you can get your content high within the search engines if you use that keyword phrase.

Google Keyword Planner

Everyday there are more and more keyword planners and tools, but in my experience, Google’s keyword planner is still the best.

It gives you the most accurate information on the main search engine that most people use; Google. It shows you the top keywords that others are searching for, their ranking, and the monthly searches. Your goal is to not pick the top keyword, you need to look for keywords that are getting a lot of traffic but not ranking high; the less competition it has, the better off you are.

This tool is free to use and it is designed to help advertisers pick the right keywords to use in campaigns such as Adsense. Even if you aren’t placing ads within Google, you can still use this tool to help you scope out the right keywords and key phrases to use.

Doing the right homework for keywords

There are a lot of things that you need to know when doing your homework on SEO and keyword phrases. For instance;

  1. How many people are actually searching for this particular keyword? Is it a top keyword or a lower keyword that still gets a lot of traffic?
  2. There are a lot of pages already associated with this keyword phrase, how are you going to compete with them? Maybe by using a keyword phrase that doesn’t have as many pages associated to it?

The right keywords that you are going to want to use are those that

have a lot of searches per month but don’t have very many search results; these are the type of keyword phrases you want.

To make things easier for you to understand:

Try to find keywords that are relevant to your niche and have these qualities:

  1. A search volume that is high
  2. The competition for the front page of results is low

Using long tail keywords on your niche site

Long tail keywords are those that are more specific and longer. They still use your keyword in it but they are longer and are more likely to have people searching for when they are closer to purchasing something. They are of huge value if you know how to use them correctly.

There are different suggestions on how to use keywords, key phrases, and long tail keywords within your content. Keep in mind that long tail keywords are those that most people use when they are searching in the search engine; long tail keywords can bring you a lot of traffic.

For instance; if a person was searching for cell phones, they might add Sprint Cell Phones into their search bar. The Keyphrase would be Sprint Cell Phones, keyword is Cell Phones, but if you added something like, cheap sprint cell phones, that would be a long tail keyword. Long tail keywords account for about 70% of all search engine queries.

Most people who add long tail keywords into their search engine, are usually about to buy something; these people have already been sold and now they are just looking for the right product.

Long tail keywords can be used for anything on the web and help you get a ton of traffic. More traffic means that you can get more click thru rates and more purchases.

If you are doing any type of affiliate marketing or selling things on your website or blog, you need to pay special attention to these long tail keywords.

I hope that I was clear enough with how to use keywords within your content to get traffic. Please let me know if I wasn’t clear enough and I will either edit this or find more information to link back to.

Make Money Online Using Fiverr to Sell Gigs

I have been suing Fiverr for about a week now. I have actually had an account with them for about a month but I only used it to help out with a website that I was building. Well, I am a writer and therefore I like to get paid to write. I set up a few gigs and waited patiently. I started getting hits off of these gigs and people started buying my fiverr gigs. I was making money online within a week. Now, I have used them in the past and so I know that they do payout. They use Paypal to pay the individuals and people from around the world use them. You can either have the funds added to your paypal account or you can use the money you earned to purchase gigs yourself. On the gigs that you...

What You Should Know About AIDS

Aids has become one of the most widely known STD's in the world. Making yourself aware of Aids will help you to better understand ways that you can take prevention measures to refrain from transmitting it or passing it onto someone else.  HIV is the virus that causes Aids. HIV can be transmitted through body fluids from a mother's breast milk, blood, and sexual fluid from a person who has been infected.  Doctors have become aware of the different ways that a person can transmit the disease to another person. A mother who is giving birth to a child can transmit the disease without proper medical care.
