This is my background....
I am a young single mother of four children. One father is in the picture, and the other is not. I am also in the Army Reserves and I do my best as a soldier, but life is sometimes difficult.
I lost a child in 2007, and I haven't been the same. I think about him often. I have been to the bottom of the barrel and back up again.
I seperated from my husband in 2012, and have no intentions of ever getting married again.
I am known to the Internet world as R.D. Hayes and own a website called The Strength to Carry On, which allows anyone to sign up to and start earning money through writing and affiliate sites. It is a work in progress but it is coming along.
I have been a freelance writer since 2006 and I use to write for Yahoo! and Associated Content. In 2007, I won the People's Media Award for Best of AC Content which paid a $1,000 bonus.
I had to stop writing, and my online money making adventure, after I started being put on orders with the military all the time. I knew that it wouldn't last long though, and eventually I was taken off of orders and put back on reserve status, and the money dried up.
I went to work for a great company in 2013, but ended up not being able to work for them because I have Basilar Migraines and I am a liability to the company, as they explained it.
I ended up having to move in with my mother and found another job in the town I grew up in. I ended up having to be let go at this company as well, because I was a liability after i started having severe migraines.
It's funny to think that I can be in the military with migraines but I can't hold down a job because of them. I was told to go and get on Social Security but if I do this I won't be able to stay in the military. Besides my kids, the military is all I have.
Living with my mom didn't work out too well; we are too different and have different standards. I was raised by my father and didn't really know my mom until I was sixteen.
I took my children and moved out into a place that wasn't that great and started finding online opportunities to replace the income that I lost. I have been out of the game for so long though, it is hard to get back into the rhythm that I was in before and start making money online.
I started writing again. I have actually picked up a few clients and I am happy to show you all my experience. I like to write a lot and as my online business progresses, I will keep you all updated.
I don't get child support from one dad, he is the dad to my oldest two children, and the younger two's dad helps out a lot and we both have an agreement to help the kids as much as possible without child support being involved. My two youngest children spend a lot of time with their dad; their dad and I are both very active in their lives.
So, here we are just trying to survive. Hopefully I will be back to making money like I was and not have to worry about working a 9 to 5 job again.
There may be moments when you see that I post several times a day, and then there may be moments when I don't post at all. I apologize in advance for my spelling and grammar; most of my best post are added in the middle of the night when I am half asleep.
I will be posting ways that I have found to make money online that have proven to work, and ways that I am trying out that haven't yet been proven but still would like some feedback. I will be updating this blog whenever I can.
