How to deal with return policies and customers

One thing that I absolutely hate about selling online is when a customer is not satisfied with their order. If you sell online or even out in the real world, you are going to have to deal with this at some point during your selling career. There are many ways to deal with them and this is just one of the but, this is the way that I handle order through EBay since there can be a lot of unruly customers on there. First of all , my EBay return policy is set to where a customer can return and order for up to fourteen days if they are not satisfied and they can get a refund or I will replace their item with a similar one. Secondly , if they do decide that they want to get their item replaced or get a refund, they must send the items back and they have to pay for the shipping. This is so that you know if they are for real or not. If it is a regular customer then I will normally talk to them and replace the items and allow them to keep the ones they have just because ...

How to make your own cooking spray

This was something that I learned after reading this article  Cut Fat, Calories and Your Grocery Bill! Make Your Own Cooking Spray.   It was a lot simpler than I thought and works great, saves money, and is great for people who are on a diet or for those who like to eat healthier. All you do is add 1 part olive oil to 5 parts of water, add to a spray bottle, set it on mist and your done. Pretty easy huh?! Give it a try and see what you can come up with. I love this stuff and I really love that it saves me money. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent on the Cheap

So along with saving money to help cut out the debt, I am also into finding ways around the house to make things cheaper for us. For instance, I would absolutely love to be able to give my house a make over and darn it, I am going to do it with a low budget but for now, I will continue to save as much as possible to lower the debt that I am in and I was determined to make my own  Homemade Dishwasher Detergent  and by golly I finally did it. It was super easy and it cost me pennies to make. Actually I spent about $15 or so dollars at Walmart to buy the ingredients and you can use the same ingredients to make other homemade cleaning supplies which I need to do a tutorial on those as well for my other  blog . I have so much fun trying to be cheap….is that wrong of me?

So Many Ideas and Not Enough Hours

I have so many ideas running through my head at all hours of the day. I can’t keep track half the time and I am always in a rush mode and sometimes I would like to just sit back and relax. The reality hits and hits hard. I plan my day. I am a planner and that’s what I do. I jot down stuff all the time and then I try to accomplish everything in one day but it doesn’t always work and this is where time management comes in. I have to manage my time or it will slowly slip away from me. I have children still living in the home between the ages of eleven and four and so my house is always in  chaos or so it seems. I have been experimenting with different ways to keep things on track and to manage my time along with my household. I work from home and my oldest daughter is homeschooled so things can get pretty hectic around here especially with the start of school coming up and the summer fun ending. I even went and bought me a handy little binder with some seperaters to he...

Keep Track of your Inventory

Yup it’s me again and this time I want to talk about something that a lot of people do on sites like EBay. I ordered some products from a gentlemen, paid for them, and then waited for them to ship. To my surpise and a few days later, I get this nice little email saying that my money has been refunded and that the person ran out of stock. Well, what do you know. Another wannabe money maker hasn’t figured out how to actually manage an online store. Anyways, I am going to give you a tip that I hope you will take into consideration the next time that you put merchandise in your online store. A lot of people will take photos off of other sites and place them on EBay at a higher price and then when someone orders the merchandise they simply order from the website and then when it arrives they simply ship it to the customer. I am not going to lie, I have done this before but I do it a bit differently so that I don’t run into any problems like the guy up above did. Here is what I do: ...

Quick Ways to Beat the Heat

I have found that the summer heat can put a huge damper on my AC bill and my AC doesn’t seem to want to shut off since it can’t keep up with this boiling heat that we are having this summer. I have become accustomed to the heat and wear very few clothing when I am inside of my home so that I can keep the air turned up so that it doesn’t run constantly. The less Clothes the More Comfortable: I wear short shorts and wife beater type shirts. I found a kiddie pool at a yard sale and filled it up for the kiddos and let them loose so that they could keep cool as well. Cooking all at Once to Beat the Heat: I have found that cooking dinners all at once and then refrigerating them really helps so that I am not making it even hotter by cooking each night and who really needs hot meals anyways, a sandwich for lunch is always a good idea especially when you have a huge family like mine. If you choose to do this, set aside one day a week to do it and cook early in the morning so that your hous...

Unclutter Your Junk Drawer

Yes, we all have and some of us call it by a different name but it’s all the same. It’s the stinking junk drawer that piles up and piles up to no avail. If yours is like mine then it is probably time for a good deep cleaning. The  kitchen  is one of the most important rooms in your home and it really needs to be neat and tidy including that dawning junk drawer of yours. There are different ways that you could go about making it work for you but here are a few tips to get you started and on the cheap because we all love cheap. Clear it Out: Take everything out of the junk drawer and dump it on a table. I do mean everything and you will probably be amazed at what all you have in there. I know I hadn’t seen my finger nail clippers in a while. Go Through the Pile: Go through it and take out the things that don’t really belong or things that you know should go in another room. I leave things like tape, pens, and a notepad in mine because these are things that we of...
